the secret lasted at least five minutes once the family was reunited - we were in the car, picking up rachel, nick & megan from the train station, and after about five minutes, sequoia told rachel he needed to whisper in her ear. “we made you a cake”. as soon as we pulled into the driveway, he led her into the garage to look at something in the freezer (the secret surprise birthday cake).
