sean dreilinger: i couldn't hear this exchange but it looked like sequoia was explaining the meaning of the upward arrow to his grandpa, which we discussed at great length on a hike on the same trail last summer:

Neeta Lind: Yeah, Sequoia said the up arrow means you go up into the sky. Nick corrected him by saying that the up arrows meant straight ahead.

See if it sticks with Sequoia next time. He is only 4. You know, that little guys who's 4?

xmas 2010 [187 photos] we celebrated at our house in oregon with rachel's family flying up to visit. aunt megan arrived a few days earlier to spend extra time with her nephews.

megan's birthday is december 27, so we observe that holiday too.
