you know your kid is really sick and not faking the sudden back pain, headache & fever when you lay out a bowl of his favorite berries and he just says “no thanks, i'm not hungry.” this won him a half-day tour of HMO waiting rooms and the associated bureaucracy, along with a 5-minute audience with his MD, ending in the “wait and see, call us if he starts to die” strategy.
