halloween 2009 [68 photos] nick and sequoia dressed as the transformers characters bumblebee and optimus prime.

nick negotiated with some of the homeowners to avoid candy with peanuts (which was funny to watch because he was just expressing a preference, but they reacted like he might have a deadly peanut allergy)

sequoia asked many homeowners “can you open this for me?” -- and some of them did, so that he could maintain his sugar high from door to door.

the boys asked to call it a night before the parents had to intervene, and they seemed pretty happy with their piles of loot back at home.

last halloween, sequoia could not bear to wear a costume. this year, he asked if he could wear his costume to bed.
