matchbox thunderbirds [14 photos] these are a birthday present for one of the boys, both of whom are fans of the thunderbirds, a 1960s television puppet show (and movies) about international rescue, the puppets who save the world using their cool space ships.

i've eyed the matchbox toys for a few years and decided to get them this year. they're traded on ebay as gerry anderson memorabilia.

i had a hard time finding accurate descriptions of these products on ebay. i decided to take these photos of the matchbox tracy island electronic playset and matchbox thunderbirds rescue pack in case anyone else is looking for a clear idea of what these packages contain.

the vehicles are mostly die-cast metal with some plastic details. the island is all plastic.
