SIGN dinner [32 photos] The Surgical Implant Generation Network (SIGN) held a dinner event in portland last night. Rachel has offered some of her time to SIGN while working at Acumed and Quantum Medical Concepts, this was an opportunity to learn what the organization actually does. Their presentation mentioned that orthopaedic trauma can be viewed as an epidemic on par with AIDS, Malaria, and TB, and that many countries lack adequate knowledge and equipment to provide treatment.
