rachel bought nick a new lego kit to celebrate his emancipation from kindergarten. he built the whole thing pretty quickly once we got home from dinner, and then he spotted a url in the instructions that led him to diagrams and details of how to build additional vehicles from the same box of parts. so here he is around 9pm (an hour past his bedtime), he's commandeered rachel's laptop and is re-assembling his new lego kit into an entirely alternate collection of models.

kindergarten graduation ceremony 2009 [18 photos] nick's kindergarten class had a graduation ceremony today, ms fordney had each student stand up on a chair in front of the assembled parents and she spoke a little about each kid. i learned to tie my shoes in kindergarten ( so i'm told). nick learned to read really well - but he still can't tie his shoes. i'd pick literacy over lace-up shoes any day.

Sounds like it was a mutually beneficial arrangement for both Nick and Rachel.
