this image employs the makeshift camera polarization filter approach - putting the lens of your polarized sunglasses in front of the lens of your cell phone camera.

every time i run around this corner of the lake, i see these ginormous fish lurking beneath the surface.

sean dreilinger: don't let the lack of a telephoto shot fool you - these fish are huge. they appear to be wider than the trunk of the biggest tree on the shore in this image - and that's a big tree!
