The 36-pit fire is burning outside of Estacada, Oregon. The fire--presumably started by target shooters near the Lazy Bend Campground--grew from 30 acres on Saturday, September 13, to 1,000+ acres overnight, and 2,400 acres the next day. 100 local firefighters were augmented by a regional, Type-2 response team on Sunday, September 14.
