I converted my fireplace into a Tuscan oven. Comes in handy when the rain is pouring outside. Here I'm grilling New Zealand grass fed lamb rib chops.

Comments:

sean dreilinger: what are you burning to provide heat? charcoal?
Neeta Lind: Very large chunks of hardwood charcoal that I sort from my usual Qs and save just for the winter. I must be select in that tiny pieces of wood fall between the grates too soon and complicate indoor cleanup later on. It's an exact science. ;)

Do not use anything man-made for food cooking, it leaves an after taste of petroleum, even if it's the starter fuel. Got to start the fire clean. I'll have to discuss in person, I'm losing words so late at night.
