Comments: lychee?
Neeta Lind: you are correct grasshopper.
mangobabangobabyheadface: don't they taste funny au naturale? lol i bought some fresh ones from trader joes thinking that they'd be as sweet as the lychee flavored drinks i buy at japanese markets but nooooo they're kinda tart lol but i do enjoy their dense, meaty texture
Neeta Lind: My first experience with them was when Seanie brought some over. They puckered my mouth and left a funny film and after taste in my mouth. I was hesitant to buy any more. However, I thought these were so pretty. I bought a few and they were lovely. Sweet tasting like your drinks. The ones you tried may have been too young or green. They don't ripen after they are picked so they have to be picked ripe. The riper they are the easier they are to peel. I remember the ones Sean brought over were a little hard to peel. The ones above, the skins slipped right off.

I'm gonna go eat some right now. YUM! actually, they're nasty.
Neeta Lind: These would change your mind. I swear. They are lovely, delicate and sweet not like the ones Seanie brought over that day. Those must have been unripe.
