libbipeters: I sprained my ankle really bad last March playing soccer and it looked just like the photos you took. I made the mistake of not going to the ER…did everything turn out okay? No fractures? My ankle is fully healed, but it aches in the cold and is sore after I jog. I am tempted to get it x-rayed after all this time…Hope you are feeling better!
Neeta Lind: Hi libbipeters:

It was a long haul but my ankle is ok now. I thought it would be permanently thick but you can hardly tell that I injured it. It is still “loose” when I try to balance in yoga poses and I lose my balance easily. I ripped 3 ligaments and there isn't much the ER can do unless you have a fracture. I had some good rehab instructions. The best treatment for me has been advanced yoga.

Libbi, I am curious. How did you find my photos? I have no tags. Did someone email a link to you? And yes, thanks, I am much, much better.

I hope you feel better too. It took more than a year to see real improvement.
libbipeters: Hi Neeta--Thanks for the comments; it helps to put my injury into perspective better. To answer your question, I usually search by full text (I wanted to compare my sprained ankle to others…) and then your photos popped up. Glad to hear your ankle is much better! :-)
