2006 Specialized Epic Comp, on top of my Jeep in preparation for a ride.

Have to love Winter in San Diego.

sean dreilinger: i see what you mean about the green
Tracy┬╗: I know someone that lost their bike rack (with bikes!) while on the freeway! It landed upright directly behind them. Fortunately no one was hurt. But after hearing his story, I never follow anyone that has one of these. Having a bike for a hood ornament just doesn't sound all that appealing!
jsf.online: This rack is on tight enough that losing it has never been a problem. I've had it for about a decade now, and simply change parts whenever I get a different car. Next time around I will likely go to a hitch-mount carrier, for ease of access for the vertically challenged, but this has worked for me for so long, it flying off, intact, has never been a concern.

Thanks for the horrific image tho!
