At work we have the remains of a Sun E15K. After letting it sit in the office for a long time, we pushed it to the parking lot and put “FREE” signs on it. After a week, the power supplies and fan trays had been stripped, but the full-height chassis remained.

Comments:

alexmuse: Lol…
jsf.online: After about a week, some guys came by and pillaged most of the internals - there were six power supplies and eight fan trays, all were taken. They also took a number of the internal dividers.

Then I was off for four weeks, and when I returned, the chassis was gone. I do not know what happened to it.
Eric Seale: I could use that at work for testing.
ps - dont setkeyswitch off
jsf.online: I found out that the chassis was taken as well - probably the same guys that took the PSU and fan trays. I think they were simply going to a metal recycling place.
kattanapilot: Damn I want it
HCFSDiscoman: I am jealous, although I woudl want the thing as a complete unit, not just some parts.
