lego 7893 passenger plane [14 photos] great grandma joan sent nick a birthday card and birthday money.

today we took nick to toys R us and he spent a frantically excited 40 minutes in the lego aisle deliberating between various batman legos, star wars legos, etc. He finally settled on this passenger plane, which comes in a box so big he could barely carry it up to the cash register by himself.

he still can't assemble these things entirely by himself, but he's figuring out the pictographic instructions and putting lots of things together without help.

and before he went to bed, he had recycled the jet engines from this lego kit for use in a star wars-style pod racer of his own design (work in progress not shown here).
