up on the roof [30 photos] our leaky old roof. and our leaky new roof. we had our roof replaced by Oswego Roof, a local roof contractor. it took a few rounds of leak-fixing before the new roof was rain-ready. We settled on a composite roof. i was very very interested in a “green roof” where the ice & water shield is covered with dirt and plants - its supposed to be great insulation and noise abatement -- but we couldn't find anyone with experience in residential green roofs here in portland :-(.
