sean dreilinger: it is our house, catula strolled in around lunchtime with a snake in her mouth, and she set it down on the floor and watched it until i took it outside. sorry you missed it, we missed out on a lot of “snakes on a plane” jokes.
ntisocl: I have a hard enough time with the half-dollar-sized spiders we are getting this time of year — seeing this slithering across the floor would cause much pain and anguish.
pinkyhonor: holy pinstripes, i had bigtime snake dreams last night and i think this picture set them off! beautiful garter, i don't think we have that color combo around here. poor guy must have been scared out of his wits! nice shot.

Neeta Lind: OMFG. I would have soiled myself and then dropped dead from a heart attack.
miss.love: i would have done the same thing, but not in that order.
sean dreilinger: it was a really really small snake, while it was curled up playing dead i thought it was a giant millipede. when it finally stretched out, it was pretty long, maybe two or three feet.

Sets

we have two long-haired cats of unknown pedigree. rachel brought them home one day as a surprise, when we lived in a cramped little 1200 square foot house in san francisco.

one black cat (count catual) and one white cat (spaceghost coast-to-coast).

spaceghost usually manages to ditch her collar and prowl around with nothing on, which nets her more prey.

catula is smaller and faster, but usually has the handicap of a jingle-bell collar to warn prey of her approach.
