What is LO like?
lake oswego is a suburb south of portland, it would seem different depending on where you're coming from. we came from san francisco, california, and wanted to live in the portland area because it offers a high quality of life for a lower cost of living. we can afford to raise our kids here along with other young families. its just a few minutes drive or ~15 minutes to bike to downtown portland, but its very quiet and more rural here.
my impression is relative to the bay area and other places i've lived. i've met people who describe LO as being snobby, white and expensive -- there is a country club and the lake is private in some sense but i don't have much interest in those.
