First strawberry

First strawberry to ripen this year in my strawberry pot. It doesn't taste like the strawberry you find in the store. This variety is considered an alpine strawberry, so it's close to wild, and by god, doesn't it taste like the fake strawberry flavoring they put in candy. It's very sweet, and softer. I'll have to try another one when my sense of taste is completely back.
